@two_jet_skis & I launched this collaboration & had a bunch of people request shirts.

Well, I wish that there was an easier way to share this excited news with each of you individually over a cup of coffee - because I value each and everyone of you, and you’ve all played a significant role in my life.
But for the sake of time, transition, and the unmeasurable travel budget it would take to meet & communicate this to everyone personally, I must resort to this riveting post to communicate this exciting next season of my life.
No, I’m not getting married💍, I haven’t been asked to go on a trip to the moon🌙, and haven’t made it on the reality TV show “WipeOut”💥. Although I’m sure many of those exciting adventure will come to pass at some point, the reason for this post is to announce an exciting new season in my journey.
I’m going to be moving to NYC at the beginning of the March🗽! I’ve been presented with an incredible opportunity to serve on staff at @charitywater - a non profit working hard toward providing clean water to people in developing countries💧. Although transition always comes with many emotions, I couldn’t be more excited for this next season of life & look forward to the untold adventures.
I hope to connect with as many people as possible before I disembark on this new journey.
I couldn’t possibly begin to articulate how much I love & appreciate each and everyone of you & the significant role you’ve played in my life. I know our friendships will last forever regardless of the miles that may separate us.

Thank you so much for all of your kind support of the iPhone & iPad “Be Still” wallpaper that @two_jet_skis & I collaborated on last week.

We’ve had so many people contact us & asking if we’d make t-shirts for them. We even had a dude ask permission to get a tattoo of the design⚓!

So with so much interest in t-shirts, Sean & I decided to launch t-shirts as a reminder to “Be Still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10).

In case you missed it, @jayzombie @josh & the @instagram team launched the weekend hashtag project yesterday: #WHPfoggy.

There have been a lot of awesome shots posted, I’d encourage you to check them out & get involved.

I’ve also had a few people inquire how I process my fog shots without the fog turning a weird color.

I typically try to find a subject for the foreground of the shot to focus on & shoot a little over exposed. Focusing on something close to you with a minimal (free of distraction) background helps magnify the vanishing point of the fog.

Then I’ll bring the shot into instagram, crop & apply the lofi filter. What’s nice about lofi is that it gives you some really rad blacks but also maintains the structure of the fog without turning it yellow or blue. It’s a beautiful balance.

I’ll often bring the image into the snapseed app to make selective adjustments to the photo. Lowering the contrast & selective saturation adjustments can make a huge difference because lofi can often be a little extreme.

Be carful not to over process the photo & devalue its clarity. Don’t be afraid to experiment with shooting different angles & at different exposures. The more you shoot, the better you’ll understand how your camera works & how your lighting, exposure, & composition will effect the dynamics of your photo.

Willow & inkwell filters also work well as great alternatives for shooting with fog. I typically like to shoot the photo a little under exposed when using either of these b&w filters with fog.

I hope that this can be helpful this weekend & in the future as you get out & explore foggy places.
